Cook-Off Rules

CECUBOREE COOK-OFF RULES

1. The food theme is Desserts
2. Your entry must be on-theme, with points for including the following ingredients and design suggestions:
   – a fruit   
   – cake 
   – video game themed topping 
   – assembled at camp, bonus points for cooked/baked at camp
3. One entry per Lair (as we have introduced a new Lair plan for activities – each Lair to be ~8 to 10 Cubs). Lairs must provide ingredients list.
4. Cook–off Judging will happen in Sub-camps – there will be 3 sets of judges  – 1 per Sub Camp.
5. Lairs may sign up for a time slot in their Sub-Camp starting Friday evening
6. The time that a Pack (or Lair) signs up for will be the time that the Pack (or Lair)  must present their meal to the judges. Please be prompt, as there is a very tight window of time between time slots.
7. If a Pack(or Lair)  is more than 5 minutes late in presenting their meal to the judges, the next Pack’s meal will be eaten first if they did arrive on time.
8. All meals must be prepared and presented to the judges by Cubs.
9. Each Pack must prepare and present 3 single serving Meal pieces. 
10. Be creative!
11. Judging will be based on a variety of factors including: taste, texture, creativity, and presentation (both in how the meal looks on the plate and how the Cubs present them to the judges).
12. Please bring the meal to the judges on a plate. Remember the list of the ingredients that have been added
13. The meal should be brought to Cook off judging area at each Sub Camp for presentation at the time indicated on the sign-up sheet.
14.
